When and how did you become aware that you're an HSP? And how did you learn about our group?

I knew I was different by 4. Meyers Briggs in grad school confirmed. Few years ago read The Out of Sync Child and it sealed the deal. New to Seattle looking for like minded people.

Have you read any of Elaine Aron's books about the HSP trait? Which ones?

Reviewed her website and online test. Yep, that's me.

How have you experienced being an HSP? Please share a couple of examples of how being Highly Sensitive affects your life.

See things others don't see. Labeled creative, shy, withdrawn, black sheep, different cookie cutter, dreamer. Became a counselor to help others actualize despite norm. Always a balancing act like Great Gatsby's Nick Carraway says "I was within and without, simultaneously enchanted and repelled by the inexhaustible variety of life."

What sort of activities do you enjoy? Besides just "meeting to talk," what sort of activities (if any) would you enjoy, as part of an HSP meetup group?

It's easier when I have a shared activity to launch from vs. just starting a conversation in a bar or coffee house but up for anything; hiking, art, exploration.

What do you hope to get from your membership in our HSP meetup? (i.e. friendship, activity partners, support, networking, etc)

New connections in Seattle.

I'm an INFJ. Left and right brain can often be found on a play date together. Counselor/Children's Programming
