I've been using Python off and on as a nice scripting language. I'm interested to see what other members have gotten Python to do.

Hi David - thanks for joining! Great smile!
David, sorry we missed you. We were sitting by two bug tents and has a mini volleyball net by us. Hope you can make it again as we always have things going.
Hello and welcome to AEGIS! Hope to see you at one of our many meetups.
However, can an 8-way I7 really get full use when there's an 8 gb RAM limitation? Is there a correlation? Down the road I anticipate more applications will be able to take advantage of multi-way processing.
Thanks so much! I will get the anti-glare now, memory & drive later. I see hanging out in the Surf Incubator a lot, & will want a larger screen than the 13" for website design too. I'm getting help with the cost. So I'm looking at the 17" ($250 more) for $2144 total (educational discount). I'm considering a single bump to the I7 620M processor/4 mb cache for $180 more. According to a benchmark site, I'll get a 11% boost and I can't upgrade later. That'll put it at $2349.
As you know, I'm buying a Macbook Pro. Any thoughts on after-market upgrades for RAM and hard drive? At some point I want to get a solid-state drive and 8 gb memory. Can I do it myself (like I did on my HP laptop?) Glossy vs. anti-glare screens? Which upgrades did you go for and what's your opinion on the value of them now? Thanks! Carol
