Hi everyone, our first meetup was a big success! I would like to make this a monthly event on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. I do not want this meeting to get repetitive and lose value, which can happen with non structured events. Because of that I would like to implement a structure to our meetings, and evolve the structure with time. The structure I have in mind is the following:
6:30 - Timely arrival
6:45 - 3 Minute Commercials (everyone in attendance shares their business/real estate focus, what you can you offer the group, what are you here to gain)
7:15 - Haves and wants (I have this or I want that. This is to stimulate ACTION, not tire kicking. Action is a main focus of this group)
7:30 - Educational lesson (We all want to learn from one another, each week we will highlight a member, and have them educate us on their specialty - I will teach solar energy at the next meeting and ask for a volunteer for the following meeting. Topics like private money, tax strategies, partnering structures, staging tips, inspection pointers, etc, etc, etc)
8:00 - Mingling and meaningful networking
The have's and wants are meant to encourage business. Bring your deals and highlight them! You should come to this meeting with a goal, like to find a buyer/buyer connection, to raise capital, to wholesale a property, etc.
I have also limited this meeting to 20 members as groups beyond that size tend to become impersonal. Please RSVP to get your spot, and if you have to cancel for any reason give the most notice you can. If we continue to grow we may consider bi-monthly meetings, but I think this is a good start.
