White River Training run, Corral Pass side

For those who enjoy great scenery or are getting ready for The White River 50 mile race. We will be running the Corral Pass loop.  About 4,000 feet of elevation gain over 27 miles. Plan on being gone most of the day. Eric Sach, owner of The Balanced Athlete (8x finisher) will lead this run. Meeting at The Balanced Athlete at 7 AM to arrange car pools. We should arrive at Buck Creek trail head, 8:45am.  Be ready to run at 9AM. Plan on bringing Iodine or a water filter. 800-1,200 calories. Could be some snow on top. Depending on weather, hat, gloves and light jacket /shell would be important to carry. For more details contact Eric Sach at the Balanced Athlete.

I'd love to attend if someone is willing to go a little slower on this. I may have to build up to this! We shall see as the date gets closer. Thanks.

Hi Eric! My friend and I are doing a long run the day before, but would still like to run part of this if possible (we'll drive separate from the other carpools, to make things easier). Is is pretty easy to do a shorter distance out and back or something? We were thinking about doing 10-14 miles depending on how we feel. Thank you for putting this together! Really excited for WR50!

Melody about 16 miles would be the shortest loop, otherwise it is an out and back.

Definitely. WR50 will be my toughest run yet. A little preview of the pain will go a long way to help on race day lol
