Depending on the conditions you can jog up the snow field. Most prefer to do a fast walk. Fill up for water at Pebble Creek 1/2 way up.

    June 26, 2013

    • Scott F.

Thanks, Win. I plan to bring a hydration pack.

      June 26, 2013

  • Scott F.

Last August I walked from Paradise to the beginning of the snow/ice ascent to Camp Muir. My thinking is that conditions have to be a little worse now than in August, and there was no way any jogging was going to be done from the point I reached. It's basically a mountain climb from that point - am I correct about this?

Are trail running shoes enough traction?

    June 25, 2013

    • Francis

I don't know about trail running shoes as it might be slushy with the sun....something waterproof would be nice...tough call...I will let Win respond to it.

Weather looks like it will be improving going into Sunday. At Camp Muir temp expected to be about 28 to 34 dagrees. We may get winds up to 25 to 30 mph. Be prepared with some warm cloths and wind shell.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
