The Valley of the Giants

Hi Everyone,

The Valley of the Giants trail is across the road from the Poo Poo point trail head. The trail will go through Cougar Meadows, Bolder Grove, to the Tower, up the Dragons' back, The Valley of the Giants, up Nasty Grade, to the King of the Mountain and along Porcupine Ridge. There is a 8 and 12 mile option.

I'm from out of town and will be visiting Seattle to get a feel for the city and see if I'd like to move there. I'm training for a half marathon and wanted to find a running group. I'm pretty sure I go at a turtle's pace compared to most of you and have horrible ankles for slippery terrain. Is this a bad idea? If so, any suggestions on better trails?

This looks great--anyone driving from or through the Capitol Hill area that wants to carpool?

As usual everything I want to do is scheduled on the same darn weekend. Have to say no now...B'ham marathon is on the same day and I am volunteering. :)

No kidding, that could be the single best description of a trail run I've ever heard. Do we need to bring sword and shield?
