First XC race and first run with SRC. It was definitely a challenge so I'm looking forward to some more training runs with you all between now and next season. Thanks for the opportunity to run with the team!

Always well organized. Conditions were pretty good too, not too slippery.

The event itself was great but the folks at check-in were late and a bit confused about how could pick up what numbers. They also did not tell anyone that you needed a number on your back in the Masters race.

I'm new to SRC and to XC but I'm very excited to give it a shot. I'm an SRC and USATF member but I haven't registered for the event yet. If Marlene, Win or Eric have any instructions or preferences before I do, just let me know. Thanks- looking forward to meeting you all.

Win, I'm intending on doing the post Nov 1st USATF membership sign up as it's then $30 but valid for next year too instead of the currently offered $10 trial for the final two months of 2012. So, I'm planning on running, but won't be registering for the xc meet until November. Hopefully that won't be too last minute.

I saw that the discounted rate for the race ends Nov 2nd, so I would enter by then.

Actually, I guess that last comment is addressed to Eric, signed in as Win! ;)

The new online system seems to be pretty well implemented. I should be able to check who has registered, so you shouldn't need to email me to confirm registration.

Finally, PNTF is looking for volunteers for the meet, so if you're injured, but want to spend some time on the XC course this fall, email Becca Peter ([masked]) to sign up. Thanks,
    Eric

    2) Sign yourself up for PNTF at https://www.usatf.org/Products---Services/Event-Registration-Form.aspx?e=100586
-Make sure on the first page of the entry form that you are affiliated with SRC (club number[masked]).
-On the second page, select your gender, and team "A." (If we have enough for B teams, I think we can declare that after registration through the club management page.)
-I expect we'll have enough masters runners for full teams, so if there's an option, sign up for the masters race, not the open race.
-The club will pay the entry fee per team - you should be able to check out without going through any sort of payment system.

    3) Show up on the 4th ready to race!

Hi everyone, The PNTF XC championship is coming up on November 4th. They are using a new registration system created by USATF this year, so registration will be a bit different. Full meet details are here: http://pntf.org/championships/12opencross.html

    Entry instructions:

    1) To race PNTF, you need to have USATF membership. To get/renew USATF membership, go here: http://www.usatf.org/Products---Services/Individual-Memberships.aspx
For first-time USATF members, they have a $10 membership deal through the end of October.
While you're at it, remember to renew your SRC membership if it has expired.

    Continueded on next post......

Sorry running the NYC marathon that day. I am very interested in any cross country races but have not seen many posted. Do I need to join a different meet up?
