Chuckanut short course run ( about 20 miles)

Hi Everyone,

Chuckanut  Course review run

This is a chance to check out the Chuckanut 50K race course. Even if you are not racing this is an opportunity run one of the most scenic ridge tops along the edge Coast of Puget Sound. We will skip the flat area and start where the climbing begins. The run will be about 20 miles and will take 3 or 4 hours. There is about 4,000 feet of elevation and the high point is 1,874 ft. Bring 2 water bottles and about 800 calories of nutrition.

Driving directions: Take I-5 north, exit 250 ( Fairhaven Parkway) head west, turn south on Chuckanut drive and go south to Fragrance Lake Trailhead parking lot. See map in link below.

Scott no problem. It's good/smart to listen to your body.

Hi Steven, hope you had fun and had some car companions. Messed up my knee this week on Mt. Si (it's icy up there!) so unfortunately I had change my RSVP to both this and the actual race which I'll be dropping out of :( Hope to meet you all at some point! Life is busy.

Had something come up at work. Won't be able to make this one.

I will not be able to make it tomorrow. I've had to make a hard choice and I've decided to take March (which means skipping The Gorge 50kl) off to rest and work on getting my body back healthy again. So this way I will come back in April and be able to start feeling good about my training for Squamish in August. Anyway have a fun time... the trails up there are wet, muddy and tons of fun!

Scott I'm not sure if I will be on this side of the mountains yet(I will know by Saturday) if I am I'd like to car pool with you also. But don't hold a spot if someone else wants it.

I'm planning on meeting at Fleet Feet for the carpool. I'm hoping there are enough drivers/space. Let me know if you are leaving from Fleet Feet and have a seat available. I'll bring cash for gas and snacks :)

And don't forget… If you like that part of the course, the Lost Lake 50K is on May 11. It's Chuckanut without the boring flat bit. :-)
