Several. One is a baseball movie (wide general audience). The other would be more of an indie about the UW cherry trees in the Quad. There are several other ideas loose in my head, some of which I might pursue, others I will let die a very deserving death.
Film noir would have to be my favorite, but I also enjoy big old-fashioned hero movies--Westerns, war movies that are character driven, etc. I also like small movies that make a point--The Queen, even Moneyball. While you didn't ask, I will tell you that 'mostly FX' movies bore me to the point of homocide.
I like most of Ron Howard's work. Very much an old-fashioned style. Mike Nichols is very underrated.
My name is Dick Falkenbury. I have several, very different ideas for screenplays. I need to bounce some ideas off of other people, gain some insights and learn the technology of writing for the screen.
Very good, really. I had to leave another writer meeetup due to overdosing on zombie's, vampires and zombie/vampires ("I want to suck your blood, but only from the cranium region!") Several of the readings have been actually 'very good'. Tonight's, for example, was very good to even excellent.
