Ballard Locks to West Point Light House

Afterwork paddle through the Ballard Locks. We will launch at the boat ramp at the end of 14th Avenue (Just south of the Trader Joes) and paddle through the locks to West Point Lighthouse. We will return to the launch around 930pm (Please ensure that you bring a head lamp or deck light as our return will be in the dark).

I have heard rumours that the bioluminescence is present in Shilshole Bay, so we will have a small picnic on the beach at West Point and head back once the sun sets. This will be a leisurely  paddle to enjoy the last days of summer and the amazing sunset. Bring something to share (i.e. chips, salsa, cheese, crackers, beverages)

Please be on time. We will launch at 615 pm.

What to bring:

Kayak, spray skirt, paddles, safety gear, PFD, dry suit/wet suit.

Hat, sun glasses

Water, Snacks

Deck Light or Head Lamp

Throughly enjoyable evening; thanks Lara for getting us out there. I especially liked the quiet, with no motor boat traffic, on the way back. Let's do more twilight/night paddles!

That was incredable. You did a really good job watching out for everybody, without micro managing. We had way more than enough afood at the picnic. Special thanks to the person that brought the beer - that was cool. Seeing a couple of sea-lions was a real bonus.

I won't be able to make it after all. Darn.

I tried to modify my "you're on the wait list" to include myself and guest, but couldn't find a way to do that. Assuming that I get accepted to go, I'd like that to include myself and wife.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
