I lead these tours through my work and thought our members might be interested...members, family and friends can get 20% off these by using the code SeattleMeetup when registering. (You can always get 10% off all of our programs and rentals we offer with this code)
We'll tour the Grover Creek Salmon Hatchery in Indianola, have a wild caught, locally smoked salmon snack, get a paddling lesson, paddle up a salmon stream with jumping salmon, have a discussion about northwest salmon...this is a quintessential northwest experience and I love every minute of them!
We use stable double kayaks, but single kayaks, standup paddleboards and demo kayaks are available upon request. You can also bring your own kayak or standup paddleboard for $15 off.
I offer group tours every Saturday and Sunday through November, but I'm happy to go paddle any day of the week if you want to go see the salmon!
On November 16 fisheries biologist Paul Dorn, aka "The Salmon Guy," will paddle with us. He'll share his incredible wealth of knowledge and we'll get to hold salmon eggs and tour inside salmon hatchery (other tours we stay outside the hatchery).
Nov 16: 1-5:00
Other Dates: 10-2:00 or 1-5:00, depending on the tide.
We meet at the Grover Creek Salmon Hatchery, which is a 15 minute drive from the ferries from Edmonds/Kingston and Seattle/Bainbridge.
PIZZA & BEER: I love going to Bella Luna Pizza after these tours - it's a 5 minute drive or 20 minute paddle from our put in...
