Members have been asking me about doing another Orcas Island weekend in cabins at Doe Bay, it's been 8 months since our last time, cost typically runs about $90-110 per person for the cabins and ferry. We'd head up on a Friday night and come back on a Sunday. I'd bring extra biikes and kayaks. Let me know if you're interested and if our likely late January to late February dates work for you. I'll book some cabins based on peoples preferences. I am managing this event in the Get Up Get Out Group so that I can collect deposits using paypal.

The deposit is $100 per person, this covers your shared room/bed, it covers the extra ferry fee for my bringing kayaks. I will return excess funds, the break even is 17 people, each person after the first 17 will contribute between $20 and $35 to the excess, the excess varies depending on the specific cabins and the occupancy. Deposits are only refundable until mid January, since after that time, I'm on the hook and my ability to make changes shrinks dramatically.
I will post room arrangements and formulate meal teams as people sign up.
We will carpool as we can and try to catch the 7:10pm ferry. If we miss that, the next ones are 7:50 and 9:05pm
Food is group meals potluck style, with the cooking teams purchasing the ingredients within their team.
This is one of my winter escapes to the San Juans with the outdoor toys for a little R&R trips. The actual thing that determines if you get a space is your deposit check. I have multiple cabins reserved, at Doe Bay Resort for both Friday and Saturday nights. Rooms are a mix of bunk style and double beds, so if you aren't bringing a partner and want to make sure your personal space is defined, bring a sleeping bag as the their aren't very many single bunks. For those that want a single bunk, you will be assigned to to a living room on a couch or thermarest, or possibly the group room, since costs are figured on double occupancy, and those are the only spots with single bunks instead of Queen beds. If you are part of a couple let me know so I can assign you an appropriate room.

Garden Spot - 3 beds, 2 rooms, living room, bath is 100 yards away.
