West Coast Sea Kayak Symposium - Port Townsend

West Coast Sea Kayak Symposium - September 14-16 -- is a weekend-long festival with activities and events for paddlers of all ages and paddling abilities. The Symposium is located at beautiful Fort Worden State Park Conference Center in Port Townsend, Washington. Our themes this year are women in paddling, and families. Registration is $150 for all three days or $65 a day for individual days and they have lodging at Fort Worden. Here's the link to the site:
http://www.wcsks.org/ There is free transit bus service on Whidbey Island on Friday and Saturday, but there buses don't run on Sunday. It's also a fairly short bicycle ride from the ferry dock at Clinton to the one at Keystone. We'll also update this with car pool information for those of you that want to drive there - we'll probably create a message board category for Carpool to the West Coast Sea Kayak Symposium. It's a great place to try out gear, including boats. There are on-land and on-water workshops offered Friday, Saturday and Sunday to help you hone your paddling strokes, pack your boat, practice rescue techniques and many other helpful tips. The industry leading manufacturers, retailers and outfitters will also have booths set up for you to check out the latest gear. There is over 1400 ft of waterfront packed with kayaks and accessories, an extensive retail area where you can pick up some new equipment and events for the whole family all day and into the evening. Friday night features the Reel Paddle Film Festival with the best in paddlesports videography from 2006 and 2007, sponsored by Rapid Media and beverages will be sponsored by the Port Townsend Brewing Company. Saturday night's double bill includes "Vacation from Hell" in Peru to Pacific Horizons presented by Pacific Northwest favourite Bryan Smith as well as Wendy Killoran's presentation of "'Round the Rock; A Woman's Sea Kayak Journey Around Newfoundland". In 2006 Wendy successfully circumnavigated Newfoundland in Canada. Saturday night is sponsored by Canoe and Kayak Magazine with beverages once again being sponsored by the Port Townsend Brewing Company.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
