Kayak navigation and trip planning class

We'll be discussing basic elements of kayak navigation, including using navigation tools, evaluating tides and currents, forecasting wind and weather, locating yourself on the water, and using all of this information to plan safe and easy trips.  This is an introductory class and no prior navigation experience is required.  The course will be five successive Tuesday nights from 7 to 9. PLEASE do not sign up if you can't make at least four of the classes.

Did not go--received an e-mail affirming that I was still on a waitlist and maybe could go to the next one

Okay, just to be absolutely clear, if you are signed up for the first night on January 15, there is no need to sign up for the remaining nights. If you are not on the "attending" list on January 15, you are on the waiting list for the class.

Dennis- so glad you are doing this class. I managed to sign-up for the last 4 nights as the 1st night filled up quickly.

Uh oh. My intent is that people would sign up for the whole series by signing up for the first class. So I think you are officially on the waiting list. I am planning on doing this again, so there will be another opportunity.

Right. We did talk about this while paddling last summer from Bellingham to Dot Island. It's very important. If a space comes free, I can jump quickly. Thanks.

Okay, I guess I blew this. My intent is that people sign up for the entire series by signing up for the first night. This means that the eight who are confirmed are Ted, Larry M, Susanww, Paige, Les, Jeff, and V. I am also adding Audra, who is an Assistant Organizer. Everyone else is on the waiting list. Given the interest in the class, I will plan to offer it again this winter for those unable to join us this time.
