Re: [seakayaking-35] Is anything going on? Does anyone want to make this work? The Seattle Sea Kayaking Meetup Group

Hey Saul -

Thanks for picking this up.  I would be interested in co-organizing some trips with you.  I haven't been very active in the past since most of the trips involved Lake Union paddles.  I'm looking to see something new.  I can assist you in organizing weekend trips along the Puget Sound, San Juans and Gulf Islands.

On another note, I leave next week for 10-days of sea kayaking in Johnstone Strait, BC!  If anyone has interest in these multi-day excursions, let me know.  We can plan for future outings.

abandoned the group. Maybe there wasn't enough activity. I'll go ahead and
pay for the next 6 months and become the organizer to hold the group open,
but want to know if people actually have any interest in maybe scheduling
some fairly regular paddling. I'd be interested in a regularly scheduled
paddle maybe every second week on a Monday or Wednesday evening and then
some occasional weekend trips.  I have extra kayaks, so we could keep
things fairly low key and geared more to introducing people to the sport
through day paddles in addition to organizing trips for more advanced
paddlers. We could use the existing local infrastructure of WKC,
Mountaineers, etc. for addressing more advanced skill development or work
it ourselves. What do you think? I'd also like at least 3 or 4
co-organizers so that we can keep the schedule full enough to keep people
interested in a great activity
