Once again the Kayak Academy is offering a Nature Tour with the Lake Sammamish State Park Rangers!
We guide everyone over to the Heronry and the Rangers talk about Great Blue Heron's nesting and habitat. Bring your binoculars. On the way back we stop at Sunset Beach and walk to the field by the heronry and look at the nests through telescopes. Last year, we spotted a Bald Eagle sitting in the middle of the heronry and saw how the herons responded.Rating:

If you have a kayak, the cost is $5.00 each person registering. Add $10.00 for a single sit on top or sit inside kayak and $15.00 double/triple sit on top only. Please include tax. Dry suits are includedTo Register:Rsvp 'Yes' for this event

What to bring:
Change of clothes for after, towel.
Water and snacks.
Sun Screen, Rain Hat

Directions to the meeting place:
From I-90 E take exit 15 for WA-900 W/17th Ave NW. Turn left at 17th Ave NW/Renton Rd/WA-900 E. Continue to follow 17th Ave NW and take the first left onto SE 56th St/NW Sammamish Rd (follow signs to Lake Sammamish State Park). Turn right into Lake Sammamish State Park. Turn left into the large parking area which you will pass on your left. Park on the far west corner close to Tibbetts Swim Beach. Meet at the Issaquah Paddle Sports area.
