Seattle Area Sea Kayaking Meetup Group Message Board › Seattle Area Sea Kayaking Meetup Group Discussion Forum › Celebration of Franklin Bradshaw's life (March 15, 2014)
I read about Franklin’s death, but I didn’t recognize his name until I got an e-mail from his sister Cynthia. She sent me a link to news articles and his personal photo website. As often the case with me, I’m not good with names, but I do associate faces with their vehicles and gears (PFD, paddle, kayaks). When I saw his photos, I remembered him.
In looking at Franklin’s photo website, there are photos of his sea kayaking “meet-up” trips with Saul so there are some in this group who knew him.
Franklin lost his life on January 18th in a mountaineering accident. There's been a lot written, so rather than adding more here are some links:
and Franklin's website:
There was a Memorial Service on February 8th and there will be a Celebration of his life at the Seattle Mountaineer's clubhouse on March 15th. Here's more information:
