As a member pointed out in last nights navigation class, I had droppped the link to the training materials some time in one of my cut and pastes.

The training materials as well as the trip plans for our trips are available on the left hand side of your screen when your are on our website, they are under the files section. This is right below the polls section, where we take the user surveys that I use to determine what kind of events to post. I'm sure all of you update the polls and cruise the bulleting board on a regular basis ;-)

On a related note, somehow some of you manage to find an old phone number for me (I haven't had a 425 number in over a year), anyway my phone number is 206.313.0107

If you find another number listed, let me know and I will delete it (I cut and paste a lot of my event information and may be bringing an old number forward from time to time).

Showing up on time, I know that it's a pain, but I'm trying to do my part by starting events on time, I am still waiting a couple of minutes (typically about 5 minutes) and then we're starting, for some of you that may mean leaving a half hour earlier than originally planned. The choice becomes one of you showing up early and possibly wasting your time, or showing up late and wasting everyone elses time, let's be fair and waste our own time and not that of others. We need to improve our performance in this area so that we don't have to re-route as many of our paddling trips when we miss the current or miss the ferry. Both the last paddle and the last navigation class had people that showed up late.
