ABOUT THE EVENT: "Black Diamond Weekend of Sports & Fitness"
This two-day festival of events takes place at Nolte State Park and includes a Long Course Triathlon, Endurance Duathlon on Saturday, as well as a Half-Marathon, Olympic Triathlon & Duathlon and Sprint Distance Triathlon, as well as a non-competitive TRI-IT on Sunday.
The Park is located five miles north of Enumclaw, Washington at the western edge of the Cascade Mountains (just 40 miles from downtown Seattle, WA). This beautiful, scenic countryside servers as the gateway to Mt. Rainier National Park and provides one of the best cycling courses in the Seattle area.

Long Course Triathlon* - 1.2 mi Swim/56 mi Bike/13.1 mi Run
Endurance Duathlon* - 56 mi Bike/13.1 mi Run
SUNDAY
Sprint Triathlon* - .5mi Swim, 11mi Bike, 2.8mi Run
Tri-iT (Novice) Triathlon - .25mi Swim, 11mi Bike, 2.8mi Run
Olympic Triathlon* - 1.5k Swim, 40k Bike, 10k Run
Olympic Duathlon* - 40k Bike, 10k Run
Half Marathon - 9:05 am (mass start)

I raced this the last 2 years. The run course this year was a dramatic improvement. Besides the weather this year the only real complaint and it's going to be a factor for me to run future events of theirs is that they released the racers in a fairly backward order with Olympic being last. This made the swim and bike much more crowded. My swim time was down a few minutes which I equated to dealing with the crowd, having to pass slower people but it didn't effect my bike, just a lot of passing.
