Soap Making(Round 2)

I'm recreating this soap making event. The time, date, and location is the same. I'm planning on having us make a simple batch of soap and be able to take some home too. Also, we can discuss another event where we can get a little fancy with our soap creations and ingredients. I'll just ask for $5-10/ person for materials costs. I'll be limiting the group size to 10 people. Sign up quick and let's have some fun.

Thanks again for walking us through the process. The soap looks amazing! I've been looking around at ingredients and noticed that the company where I buy my bulk herbs and spices (http://www.sfherb.com/) sells a lot of the essential oils for about half the price per ounce that Zenith does. The only catch is that there is a minimum $30 order and they ship via UPS so shipping is a little expensive. My parents order spices through them and go in with their entire neighborhood for an order. It would be perfect if you are going to be ordering a lot though.

So I calculated the soap that we made. It came out to cost about $3.80 per bar. The 3 high cost ingredients were the Olive oil at $21.24 f and the essential oils costing $21. The other oils were about $5 each and the rest of the ingredients were worth pennies. Had a great time with everyone that came. Thank you so much. See you next time.

On my way but might be a few minutes late.

I won't be able to make it today. I seem to have caught the crud going around and I don't want to make anyone else sick. So sorry for the short notice - I was really hoping I would feel better when I woke up this morning.

I plan on making soap using the cold process method. I use four types of oils, oatmeal, honey, and 2 essential oils.

I am busy on this date too, but it sounds like there may be more in the future. I am curious, are you planning to make soap from scratch with oil and lye, melt and pour glycerine soap, or remill castille? :)

Hi Jake! You met my husband Nat & I & son Jack at the sustainability fair yesterday. I am so excited to learn to make soap but unfortunately we have a baby shower next Sat during that time. Hoping you'll offer this again bc we'd love to learn.

It was great to meet you too. I plan on making more soap on a semi regular basis so I'll let people know.
