Tour Bullock Bros. Permaculture Homestead

Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to tour one of the world-class permaculture homesteads in the northern hemisphere - and it just happens to be in our back yard! The Bullock brothers have been developing their family homestead for 30 years, and this tour will give you an overview of the many projects they have attempted - some successes and of course some failures - in that time. They continue to increase their development of the land, so we will have the opportunity to see established plantings and mature systems as well as new plantings and baby ideas. They also have a wonderful plant nursery containing rare and unusual 'useful plants' that are ideally suited for the PNW bioregion. We plan to join them at 1pm for a community-wide potluck, and then enjoy our 3-hour tour. The tour costs $150 total for up to 10 people, and then an additional $15 per person after that - let's get a big group so the costs go down for everyone!

Although it was a VERY long day, I was pleased we were able to get most everyone in a carpool to minimize extra cars and resource use. Made for great conversation, too!

Hi, all you urban homesteaders! Tomorrow is the big day, and I'm trying to get a firm count on how many are planning to attend, and where everyone is coming from - I have a few stray carpoolers who would like rides. My cel number is two oh six, three six nine, seventy five ninety. Also, please bring a potluck creation to share if you plan to attend that, and bring your $15 cash!

I may be bringing my husband and sons, or I may get a day to myself! I will update my RSVP when I know. I am so excited about this tour!

Sounds great! However, I've no money right now and my Sunday will be spent building a chicken run/tractor for mom and baby chick.

This sounds great but I'll be volunteering at the Lk Forest Pk Farmer's market that day. Would love to go another time to see permaculture in the Islands. Have fun!
