Introduction

I work in business intelligence and my 2013 goal is to up my data visualization game. I like to best-practice work done by Stephen Few and Tufte. I am currently taking an awesome Infographics class online taught by Alberto Cairo.

Why visualization?

Visualizations allow me to answer questions, see patterns, understand the world around me and communicate a message to other people. I like creating them because it uses creative and analytic parts of my brain and allows me to help other people see the information they need.
