Harvest Stinging Nettles and sautee them in butter!

Nettles taste amazing (what doesn't in butter?) and are good for you and it's fun to romp around Discovery Park for a couple of hours. Bring some gloves and a pair of scissors and a reusable shopping bag.

I reckon we ought to be done picking by 4-5 and maybe some form of dinner to go with various nettle things, finishing whenever? I can make some miso soup and maybe we could have some heartier dish to go with the nettles for everyone, something simple... I guess we'll see on Saturday!

I'll see how my family day goes and if I'm up for a drive ... if anyone's driving from White Center/West Seattle/Georgetown and wants to carpool, drop me an email please.

Showed up around three that day, but couldn't find the group. Found a bunch of nettle though, along the southwest paths. Ended up hiking around for a couple hours and met up with a group of guys that attended, who caught me up a bit.

Whoops sorry we missed you Scott but glad you got to connect with David and Pat and Janko. Maybe see you at the potluck or oystering?

I had a great time wandering around in Discovery Park with the wild food folks! It was very informative and a lot of fun snipping nettles and tasting other edibles along the way.

What a fantastic, fun and educational experience. I never knew that we were surrounded by an abundance of wild food. Kiliii was a wonderful host. He's the Willy Wonka of the Wild Foods world!
