Idea for December: Holiday Meetup with White Elephant gift exchange

Okay, everyone loves the winter holidays (Or tolerates them for presents), so we should do a winter holiday pony-themed party. Not sure where or when, but tossing the idea out now for sometime in December.

Also, been talking with a few bronies, and we've been pondering doing a white elephant gift exchange at said event. How this works is everyone who wants to take part brings ONE item gift-wrapped that is worth $20 or so. The idea of a white elephant gift is something that looks really cool but is really not that practical. Like anything off Think Geek, for example... But just think something you think is cool yet pointless, like usb hub coffee mug warmer, a LOTR pez despenser set, A Twilight Sparkle throw pillow... Stuff like that! Just bring it in wrapped up and ready to go!

Then, how it works is everyone who brought a gift draws a random number to decide order. The first person chooses ANY gift and opens it. The next person can then choose any gift already opened to 'steal' or open a new gift. (Side Note: A gift can only be stolen twice. After the second 'steal', it stays with that person permanently.) If someone's gift is stolen, they choose a new gift to open. This continues until all gifts are opened and everyone has a gift. :D

So, pointlessly silly yet fun, no? Anyhow, what says everyone? Good idea?
