DocuTalk@911::An Evening with Nadeem Uddin

Please welcome DocuTalk member Nadeem Uddin for our Sunday April 24th meeting.  He will discuss his experiences crafting socially significant films.  He will share clips and talk about his work on the film "Bhopal: The Search for Justice" which is about the long term effects of the 1984 Union Carbide gas leak disaster in Bhopal, India.  He has unique insight into the practical aspects of filmmaking from logistics in harsh foreign environments to innovative distribution channels.  Nadeem Uddin is a native of Bhopal, India, now living in the Pacific Northwest. He has produced and photographed programs for Indian television and social activist organizations. Don't miss this valuable discussion.

There will be networking opportunity as well.  Come and meet other documentary film makers / enthusiasts.  Don't forget to bring your business cards.

I will bring some refreshments; please contribute some food or drink if you so desire.

I am interested and open to ideas concerning future meetings.  I'd like your feedback and suggestions.

    What a great evening. I appreciated Nadeem's honesty about being a documentary filmmaker. The films all had a different flavor and the discussion taught me more about the artform. Thanks!

    It was an honor to be in attendance of Nadeem Uddin's presentation of his remarkable films - Bhopal: The search for justice was compelling! a Must See... and his 'epic' film presenting the life and experiences of Abe Osheroff was incredibly well done. I felt captivated by the presentation. What a privilege to hear the filmmaker's intimate experiences making his films... and his insightful instruction based on his experiences & struggles... an Excellent evening! This was my first attendance to DocuTalk and I'm impressed.
