Ski Washington is back again for the 9th year my companies have been offering skier friends 40% off unrestricted discount ski lift tickets good for the entire season. This is the 4th year ski meetup members have been able to save $23 a lift ticket all season long. I had not received a full response back to my August 1st email sent out to all of last year's ski meetup lift ticket holders, as they have first right of refusal on blocks they previously bought. This is not a problem for anyone new who wants the tickets this year, as we have nearly $50,000 worth blocked off.
It is hard to think about next year's skiing when it is 75-80 degrees outside, but most you all know that the first part of August is when Ski WA reaches out to WA corporations for their commitments of how many blocks of $2,400+ ticket purchases we plan to order (60 tckts a block) and funds have to be paid by the middle of September for all tickets.
Because we have such a high demand, we managed to distribute 1,200 tickets to our friends and collect nearly $50,000 last year for Ski Washington - which uses the funds to promote WA skiing around the country. Companies like AT&T, Ivars, my companies, and many others have participated for years.
This year, the ski resorts that own Ski WA upped the price $2/tckt. At least its not the $4 per tckt increase some previous years had seen. It is still $20+ (or 40%) below the ticket window price all season long!!
The 5 pack of lift tickets is only $215.00 (or $43/tckt) & 10 tckts is $430
The allocation remains the same for 5 tickets per group -
1 - Summit, 2 Crystal and 2 Stevens.
Any of them can be used in Eastern Wa resorts (White Pass, Mt Spokane, Mission Ridge).
They are fully transferable with no restrictions. So if you live north, swap with friends or other meetup members - some Crystal for more Stevens or Summit. The ski meetup message boards make it easy.
Larry Shick (meteorologist who sends out "powder alert" forecasts to 5,000 local skiers all season long (through Ski WA) is predicting a normal year - that means we should get reasonable average snow levels for this ski season.
Please let me know how many sets of tickets you want this year. I will need checks made out to my below company name and paid as soon as you can in August - to hold your prior allocations or lock in new.
PARTIAL PAYMENTS AS DEPOSITS ARE O.K. - as long as you can deliver full payment by middle of September for tickets you order.
NOTE: Checks should be made out to company name below and mailed to address listed just below, ALONG WITH A SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE.
