These afternoon open studio sessions will be held in conjunction with morning instruction as part of artEAST's Figure Intensive Camp. You don't need to register for the classes if you just want to come to the open studios, but you will need to register for all 4 open studio sessions. After August 18, you will be able to register for individual sessions on a space available basis.
On Tuesday August 20, the model will take poses suited to Expressive Figure Drawing. This will probably involve multiple quick (1 or 2 minute) repetitions and/or rotations of the same set of poses.
On Wednesday August 21 the model will take poses suited to Collage the Figure. This will probably include some gesture poses then a longer pose, possibly repeated on and off in short increments (observe::glue::observe::glue::observe:: and so on). You do not need to work in collage.
On Thursday August 22 the model will take poses suited to the Figure in Clay. This will probably include some gesture poses for drawing with wads of clay, and a longer pose for drawing with extruded clay cylinders. Terra Cotta clay will be available for purchase. You do not need to work in clay.
On Friday August 23 the model will be sited for Figure in the Landscape. Unless the weather is unfavorable, this will take place at Confluence Park near the artEAST location.
I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
