I have been drawing for a long time, taken several art classes, but have only a little bit of experience with figure drawing. It is one of the aspects of drawing I know least about and would really like to learn more about skeletal and muscular implications for the human form and how to render them effectively. I am also interested in getting into a bit more expressive figure drawing (once I have mastered the basics) to create more of a story behind the figure itself.
Passions are a bit hard for me to pinpoint, but right now I'd say I'm really into the philosophical and psychological complexity of human relationships and motivations. I'm also gearing up for a bit of a vagabonding trip and I guess I'm passionate about the process of preparing myself for that type of journey, through trial and error. I'm not sure how yet, but these are somethings I would like to learn to convey in my drawings.
I am currently in the beginning stages of publishing a literature zine with some friends. At some point I'd like to include some drawings in the zine. If anyone has experience publishing such a thing, I'd love to hear more about the ins and outs!
I don't have much experience with mediums other than pencil and charcoal, but I'd like to get into ink and brush or watercolor.
Reading, writing, soccer, tattoos/tattooing, sad bastard music, baking bread.
Hi all, I'm new to this whole meet up thing, and have absolutely no idea what I'm doing or how it works. I'm still very excited though, to be part of this group and looking forward very much to meeting and drawing with you!
