I spent a lot of time as a child literally in my closet drawing myself. Not so much from vanity but fascination of light and shadow. I've taken some courses in college drawing the figure. I find it helpful hearing how other people see things.
Plants, nature, ecology, and the senses.
The human animal as totem or icon.
I love to work with oil paints and charcoal. I'm trying to make friends with acrylics as they are less toxic than oils.
I'm an herbalist and naturalist.
I would like to develop community around art to keep me engaged inspired and to feed that sense of urgency about creative work. Art has been delegated to the far back burner for too long. I'm hungry to do art!
