August Brews and Views: The Pike Pub and Brewery

Well, the last Thursday of the month is actually the last DAY of the month!

As I mentioned last month we are going to alternate locations every other month and this is a "downtown" month. So we will meet at The Pike Pub and Brewery (formally Pike Place Brewery but once they moved out of the "official" market they had to change their name) which is just south of the main market by 1/2 block. If you head south on 1st from DeLaurentis you'll see the sign and entry.

We will be in the bar or, more likely, in the room just next to the bar with the pool tables and big screen TV. Depending on how they end up categorizing us, we may fall into the "parties of 8 or more rule" which means one check and an automatic 17% gratuity. So please try to bring cash to make the bill-paying a bit easier. Hopefully, if we wander in over time they may count us as individuals but best to be prepared!

This room was REALLY dark when I popped my head in to check it out. So if you think you want to take photos during the meetup be prepared!

Thanks to (insert name here) who recommended this place to me at the last Brews and Views. As you can see, I've forgotten exactly who it was - mea culpa! :-(

For those new to the group, this event is more about socializing and comparing photo-taking notes - although a good number of photos do seem to make their way into the group pool on Flickr!
