Well, 2010 hasn't brought us any flying cars, but Seattle DOES now have light rail running from Downtown to SeaTac airport (the service started running on Dec. 19).
In this case, the journey is the destination, so we'll meet at the Link Light Rail Station at 1 p.m., take some photos in/around the station until 1:30 or so, then catch the train down to the airport.
With trains running pretty frequently, you can easily hop off/hop on at some of the stops along the way (if you're so moved or you get tired of taking photos through windows).
POST-STROLL REFRESHMENTS
We'll re-collect ourselves back at Westlake around 3:30 p.m. or 4 p.m., then mosey down to Post Alley (near Pike Place Market) for beers and food at Kell's Irish Restaurant and Pub.
Location changed due to the size of the group
So the fare total from Westlake to Seatac and back to Westlake should be $5.00 right? Just making sure I am reading this fare schedule properly...
@bekah Yes. There's a chart here that might be easier to read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Link![]()
Just buy a round trip ticket at a Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) inside the station.
And, for anyone that saw the e-mail that the details have changed, they haven't. A spelling error was corrected in the title; date, time, and location have remained unchanged.
I meant to say the meetup location hasn't changed. The post-stroll location has.
Here are the two videos I took well on this Meetup

Is there a flickr tag people are using for this shoot? If I can ever find time to yank my memory card out and clean my shots quickly through Aperture, I'd like to be able to share and to see what everyone else came up with!
Thanks again - this was my first outing with this group and it was a good time!

These Link Light Rail stations have some interesting public art that make good photo opps: SODO, Beacon Hill, Mt Baker, Columbia City, and Orthello.
