This month’s stroll will be on a SUNDAY, taking us out of town and up to Everett's Jetty Island.
"Wriggle your toes in the warm sand, play in the water and explore the nature trails of Everett’s two-mile long scenic gem. Jetty Island beaches are among Puget Sound’s sandiest and its waters are a kite boarder’s paradise. Come and play!"
There is a Nature Walk at 11:30am that we can join.
(If you're an early bird, I believe there is a beach volley ball tournament starting at 10:30am?)
The ferry runs every 15 mins and is free (but a $2.00 donation pre adult is appreciated). I plan on catching the 11:00am boat! We'll gather near the ferry dock on the island side. I'll wait till 11:20 or so then join up for the Nature Walk. If I get 8+ to commit to the 11:00 ferry, I can call to make a reservation, so let me know. If you commit to that boat, please make sure you are on time!
** Parking at the 10th Street Marina is $3.00 for the day **
If the Nature Walk isn't your thing, that's fine! Feel free to explore the island on your own or start with the walk and then go off exploring. We'll explore the island for about an hour and half (give or take), then head back over. If folks are up for a bite to eat, we can try for Scuttlebutts Brewery. Don’t know how crowded it will be on a Sunday? There will also be the Everett's Farmers Market going on down at the Marina just south of the 10th St. ferry dock.
Remember your sunscreen! I hear there is not a lot shade on the island.
And keep in mind, there will be lots of children, use your better judgment if and when taking their photos. A lot of parents are uncomfortable with strangers taking photos of their kid. Don’t be the creepy guy (or girl).

This will be my first time to the island, so I hope I didn't forget anything? If you have any questions, give a shout out on the discussion board :-)
