Hello, looking to learn and share with the group. I especially enjoy photojournalism and portrait shots. I need to work out more in a studio and figure out how to use these cool strobes I got!
Contacts, communication, giving and taking, meeting new folks, maybe finding people to collaborate with on projects and shoots.
http://flickr.com/photos/michaelbeaton/ Michael Beaton I have picked up the camera after a 20yr hiatus. Getting back into it. The more I do the more doing photojournalism and travel photography is what I would like to do as a career.
Photojournalism. Natural Light. Close in portraits. B/W. Also theme shoots. Like one I did last week at a wooden boat school. Loved the old tools and sail making, and trying to capture the faces and hands doing work.
Love? Probably the opportunity to meet other photographers, if only thru their work. Hate? Seems that some of the organizational functions are lacking. But, then, I havent used it that much.
Digital. Used to shoot 4x5 in school, and then had a Mamiya7. And someday I hope to add them back into my rotation. For now Nikon 200. Lusting for a D3.
Chuck is very generous with his time and experience. It was a very good experience all around.
Hello Michael -- The link to Adobe's site is: http://sapug.groups.adobe.com/ I did just recently add it to the "More About the Group" button, and it does go with the outgoing message for new members. I need to think of another place or two to put that.
Adobe's User group site has had some functionality problems so we have relied on Meetup.com. They are in the process of overhauling their site, so there is a slight possibility we might migrate back to the mothership. Cheers!
