Re: [photo-492] Group Closing

The yahoo group is a good idea to keep the group active, I would be
interested. Please let me know if it happens and I'll send my yahoo account.
I am also happy to come up with ideas for things to do each month. Also
please keep me updated on the winter workshop.

Thanks,
Sharon

It's quite possible to set up a Yahoo group, requiring no fees, yet has
online reading (or email) capabilities - and also a photo album for
displaying images. If the interest is there, it could be continued, just
in a different location. I don't believe it would be a massive undertaking
to moderate (since the posts on the existing group are relatively few). If
there is interest, I'd be happy to help lead the way on this one...

With the rain and dreary days of winter fast approaching, maybe if we
planned ahead (early Nov?) we could coordinate a one day workshop (with
pot-luck lunch) in a rented studio, and the cost of attending be based on
the studio rental fee for the day/half-day divided by number of attendees?
Were we to have things prepared in advance, i.e. 2 hours photographing
drinks, 2 hours for icecream (ok, fake ice cream), etc.. It would require
advanced planning (since kitchen access might be non-existant) but I think
it'd be GREAT fun to do!

Miko - there is a studio in Pioneer Square called F-Stop, which rents studio
space and has (i believe) multiple studio environments from which to choose.

Anyone interested in moving to a no-cost Yahoo group and possible winter
workshop?
