I was surprised at how un-wired my brain was at creating game mechanics in the real world & limited UX representation. Very cool first experience for me.

Good time. Great learning opportunity. Glad to have the chance to meet people interested in the art of the game.

I quite enjoyed this event. It was both fun and well organized. Plenty of opportunities to learn new things by interacting with other game designers and plenty of opportunities for networking. An all-around great way to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon.

I went because I wanted to go through the process of thinking through a game. I work with kids and a lot of them want to make games, but they don't know how to take that kernel of an idea and flesh it out into a game. I can work with them one on one in an iterative process, asking them questions, but it's labor intensive. I'm hoping, through attending this develop a deeper understanding of the different types of games and game mechanics, so I can come up with a teachable process for taking a game from an idea to a playable prototype that I can bring to my work with kids.

I learned a lot about the process of building games. This gave me insight into how I can build game mechanics that are more meaningful.

I really enjoyed the creative space that was provided, thanks Alex. Our group was a good time, in my estimation. All of our team members offered cohesive ideas which came together enough for a solid foundation in progress. I look forward to this potential development as well as hopefully getting to know our team members better. What a great experience and channel for networking interests. Thanks team members for such an enjoyable afternoon. Looking forward to the next meetup! Be well, all...

I'd love to work on a team that's doing some programming if possible, that's my main learning goal now!

Hi Brian, we will mostly work with pencil and paper for this event. Although you can meet and chat with people who have programming experience here. I hope this helps clarifying the format of the event!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
