Critique Circle

Put down your keyboard and grab your laptop, it's time for some show & tell! Join us for a game's critique session. Bring your game, show it off, and get feedback from other game makers.

If you plan on showing off your game and getting feedback bring whatever equipment you need. If you don't plan on showing off any games then just bring an eye for quality and some constructive criticism.

Leave a comment if you'd like to receive feedback on your game.

• 8-10: Taking turns, developers show off their games and receive feedback from the group. Each developer has up to twenty minutes in all.

Loved the small group size and the venue! Got some great feedback, too - no ego-stroking here!

How does presenting work? Is there going to be a monitor or projector to show our games on? Or do we all gather around each other's laptops or pass around our devices?

The later, please bring whatever you need to show off your game.

I just joined the group and look forward to meeting everyone. The event says that the meet up is full with 6 people, is there any way to make room for one more? I have a working prototype that I'd like to show off and then release by the end of the month.

Hey Artour I'm sorry but I want to keep this event small so that everyone has a chance to present and get feedback. I don't want to delay your release, but I encourage you to bring the game -- even if it's already out -- to next month's Critique Circle.

Can't make this one, but I think this is a great idea. I'll have a prototype I will be able to show in a month or so, so if this becomes a recurring thing, I'd love to come.

Hey Charles, glad to hear it! As luck would have it the event *is* recurring, so feel free to RSVP for next month. You should see the next few instances of this event on the group's main page:

We are trying something new. In order to reduce no-shows you must pay to RSVP for this event. If you attend the meeting as planned you will be refunded the full price by the event host. Let me know what you think in the comments.
