What a book club is to discussion of literature, this event is to discussion of game design. Every month, we agree to play one game, then meet to discuss and analyze its design and presentation.

To participate:
1. Purchase Dear Esther
3. Play the game. Pick it apart. Take notes! Pay special attention to the story of Dear Esther! This month, please make a point to beat the entire game. Dear Esther is short!
4. Attend the event (very important!). We'll discuss our individual impressions and insights, and hopefully come away better and wiser game creators.

We had some really good discussions about the game, everything from the engine it was built on to the story and aesthetics. It was a cool group of people.

I might not make it either, I'm afraid; I've been fighting valiantly against the pax pox for a few weeks but I think it might have finally caught up to me. I'm really not feeling well and don't want to get anyone else sick. It'd be a shame; I'd have loved to have a conversation about this.

I have an unexpected work trip that came up. I'll be out of town starting this evening to Friday.

Sorry folks, not going to be able to join this month. I'll also be unable to join next month, but I foresee making November's meeting. Hope you all get a ton of good insight.

Having just finished the game, I've only just realized that I haven't signed up for this yet. Fixing that!

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
