User Experience + Interaction Design: Sr. UI/UX Designer
Seattle Area | Client Site | Long Term | Direct Hire
Have years of UI/UX experience under your belt? Passionate about creating innovative and elegant designs? Then here’s a great full-time opportunity for you!
We’re hiring a Sr. UI/UX Designer to join a well-established casual gaming company in Seattle whose UX Design process is hands-on from start to finish. In this role you’ll be responsible for creative conception, execution, and production of interactive features, projects, and platforms, end-to-end. Plus you’re an essential part of a collaborative, dynamic team, working on websites, apps, ecommerce, and more!
In this blended role, you'll need two distinct skills sets: UI Design — including a strong graphic design aesthetic — and UX Design, including user flows, interactions, and prototyping.
Are you the hybrid we’re looking for? Express interest today!
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
•Design rich, usable interactive solutions and user experiences from concept to completion in collaboration with cross-functional teams and iterate based on business requirements and user-centered design principles.
•Design, refine, and create alternate product UI and other graphic and visual design (look and feel) of required elements for websites, software, apps, features, services, and the occasional marketing/promotion.
•Strategize, plan, design, help usability test, and incorporate user feedback in product UX including: user flows, information hierarchy, interactions, and high-fidelity prototypes.
•Provide production-ready art, edge case designs, and visual/interactive specifications for engineering implementation.
•Maintain close team communication while working on multiple ongoing projects.
SKILLS YOU’LL NEED
•BA/BS degree preferred in Graphic/Web Design, Human Factors, or Human-Computer Interaction and at least 6 years UI/UX experience with direct contribution to creating beautiful, innovative, and intuitive designs for engaging products.
•Strong creative concepting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
•Expert proficiency incorporating usability testing and iterative design process.
•Expert understanding of and experience with visual graphic design fundamentals of branding, layout, color theory, and typography.
•Self-driven motivator who takes initiative and owns projects, driving collaboration and iteration within a team environment of various disciplines.
•Ability to multitask, adapt, and meet tight deadlines is essential.
•Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suite products.
•Ability to direct and develop rapid prototypes.
•Demonstrated experience in a range of platforms, including mobile, responsive, and other emerging platforms.
•Ability to mentor less experienced team members as a subject matter expert and lead projects with more than one UX Design team resource.
•Bonus: Design experience outside of Product Design, such as: In-Game UI Design, Marketing Design, or Motion Graphics/Animation.
