Jay, I am in the Explore Ballard meetup, and posted it there as well. Someone in that group said that they'd seen it in the Ballard News Tribune - way to go! :)

Jay - what is a bug-out vehicle, and what;'s Parkour? How do want us volunteers to help you out?

A bug out is designed to survive an apocalypse or other catastrophic event. It can have armour and loaded with gear to get you out of danger and to safety. A bug out bag is a bag you have at your home or in your car that has necessary essentials that can get you home or if you have to leave your home at a moments notice. These are thought to be for the die hard preppers, but the idea is sound. Especially a bag with flashlight, food, maps, and other stuff. I am not an expert but you can definately learn about this stuff at ZAD. If you want to help, please show up to the community center around eleven. I could use help setting up. One of the main reasons I posted this event was for volunteers who had prepping skills like urban farming, turning a car engine into a generator, etc.

Parkour is body movement. Its about using your body like you did when you were a child. Flipping, jumping up walls etc. Look up Parkour Visions on Queen Anne. OR watch Ninja Warrior. Most of them are into Parkour.

Please connect on Facebook and share this event. I am organizing this with very little money and rely on social media and handing out flyers on the street and in Schools. Thanks.

What type of opportunities will there be for helping out at this event?

I'm not sure about service hours. I was referring to skills on urban survival or preparedness. Many have businesses pretaining to the subject matter and others have skills they want to share such as putting together a bug out bag, or urban gardening. The red cross, S.N.A.P. (Seattle Neighborhoods Actively Prepare) and the Ballard COmmunity Center may have something for service hours and they will be at this event.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
