Make quilts to survivors of domestic sex trafficking in Seattle and beyond...

Hello Volunteers,

I'd like to share this event with you because I think it will be very rewarding and you can meet like-minded individuals and form friendships as well.

I met Annette through the Genesis Project a month ago.  She mentioned that she makes Quilts to help fight modern day slavery.  I offer to post her quilting event on meetup because there are so many volunteers who would like to help make a different in this community.

Please RSVP on their evite link below and on meetup.  Thank you! http://www.evite.com/event/02F0AAQZXGK5ZYFFWEPCZGDWKNU6XU/?gid=fb

I am already involved with FoodLifeline every 3rd Saturday of the month and unfortunately will not be able to host this event.  I'm sure you will be able to attend without a hostess and enjoy volunteering with Blessed Coverings.

About Blessed Coverings:

WHAT WE DO:

We make and give away quilts to survivors of domestic sex trafficking in Seattle and beyond. We make each quilt with love and prayer because we want each girl to know that she is loved and cherished by others and by God. We also use our craft as an opportunity to educate others about modern day slavery in our country.

OUR MISSION:

To give survivors of sex trafficking a tangible gift of love, hope, and comfort in the form of a quilt. To spread awareness about the reality of domestic sex trafficking and further the movement of intolerance for it.

OUR VISION:

To be a part of a movement where quilts are not needed because sex trafficking of children and women has been obliterated.

I hope this will be an event that I can host and attend in the near future.

Thank you for reading and participating,

Amiga Debbie

Can you take the bus there? It is hard to carpool when everyone has different schedules and live far from each other. Thanks for your interest to help. Hope it works out for you.
