Hoop It Up - Huskies Concessions - LLS Fundraiser

Wedensday, February 12th 4:30 - 8:30 pm

Men's Basketball versus Stanford

Be part of the TEAM! Are you better with numbers than with equipment? Do you long to be part of the action but just aren't coordinated? Play the role of LifeSaver extraordinaire! Provide concessions for the hungry hoards and raise funds for local cancer patients and their families.

Join your friends and have fun making a difference for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society while volunteering in a concession stand at the University of Washington Men’s Basketball Game on Wednesday, February 12th.

We will run the concession stand and a portion of the proceeds from the stand goes to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Free food and beverage while working and if time permits you will be able to catch parts of the game.

Arrive 4:30 pm - wear black pants (any type) and closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals)

Finish 8:30 ish

No experience required.

Please do not commit if you don't think you can make it. LLS is charged $50 for each no show out of their donation as there is a minimum number of volunteers required for the stand.

If this day doesn't work for you, there are many more basketball, baseball and softball games coming up.

Looking forward to a fun time and making a difference.

Great turnout and I can't thank Seattle Volunteers enough for coming together to make a difference. Last night was one of our busiest nights and for the first timers, you really stepped up to the challenge. Thank you so much Ed, Marie, Tony, Shannon, Andie, Kathryn, Jackson, Lori, Keating and so many others!

I'm so sorry. I sent u my cell number with the map last week so you would know where to go. I can only imagine how frustrated the two of you were and I was looking forward to meeting the birthday girl. There are a few more games left and I hope u will volunteer again.

    Hi there,
My husband and I are looking forward to helping out. Where do we meet? How do we get into arena without ticket for game?
    Thank you

Shouts outs to Misha, her daughter and Kathryn and her son who are coming to help and RSVP'd via the email blast I sent out. Other shout outs go to Andie B, Cheryl N, Shannon C and Jessica who too have volunteered. We are going to have a lot of fun and make a difference.

Are the concessions inside or outside?

    • Sandy H.

Great question Shannon. They are indoors.

Sandy, I'm working that day (3:30 to Midnight) so I can't make it, but please keep me in mind for other LLS events where I might be able to help. Thanks!

I feel for you. I need help on February 1st for a cheerleading event 10:00 am - 8:00 pm. I have it broken into 4 hour shifts. I also need help on February 8th from 2-6:30 for gymnastics. If either of those work, I'd love to catch up with you. February 15th is another basketball game. XOXO

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
