Go, Fight, Win! - Huskies Concessions - LLS Fundraiser February 1st

Saturday, February 1st - Cheerleading – Washington State Finals.

10:00 am - 8:00 pm - 3 shifts available

Shift 1 - 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Shift 2 - 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Shift 3 - 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Cheer squads from around the state will converge on the UW Alaska Airlines Arena bringing with them their hungry entourage. Join your friends and fellow Seattle Volunteers as we assist the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with raising funds via concession stand at UW.  No Experience Necessary. Training provided

8-12 volunteers are needed for each of the three shifts.

Wear black pants of any type and closed toe shoes.

Free food and beverage while working.  Catch part of the performances during down time in the stand.

Please do not RSVP if you do not plan to attend as LLS is charged $50 per person when the concessionaire has to provide staff.

When you RSVP, you will be asked which shift you can work. Shifts have been detailed above. If your availability does not match with a shift above, please note in the comments or place a comment in the event so I can make a note on my end.

Hello Sandy I am reaching out to you to find out when you need to know the amount of people who can volunteer by. I have several friends that would like to help out this weekend and was trying to find out if they would need to just come with me or sign up somewhere as well. Most of us are current or former students at the University of Washington just trying to give back to the community and volunteer this weekend.

Bummer Wendy. Maybe February 8th you'd be available from 2:15 - 6:15. It'll be a gymnastics meet at UW.

Hello! I am interested in volunteering for this event. I just had a few questions on what will we be doing and if it's a stationary location, meaning, not walking up and down the stands selling food. We would like to have 4 people work the 1-5pm shift, but we will have 2 people coming in late around 1:30 if that's ok, too. A direct contact for this event would be helpful. Thank you

This sounds fantastic. I will send you a private message with the details to your questions and more. For anyone else reading the thread, I am your contact and yes, it is a stationary position meaning we are in one specific stand and will not be doing any stair climbing in an effort to achieve additional sales.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
