Behind the Plate - UW Concessions to Benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma

Sunday, March 23rd 11:30 am - 3:30 pm

Game 3 - UW vs Arizona - Baseball Stadium

Be part of the TEAM! Are you better with numbers than with equipment? Do you long to be part of the action but just aren't coordinated? Play the role of LifeSaver extraordinaire! Provide concessions for the hungry hoards and raise funds for local cancer patients and their families.

Join your friends and have fun making a difference for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society while volunteering in a concession stand at the University of Washington Baseball Game on Sunday, March 23rd. We will run the concession stand and a portion of the proceeds from the stand goes to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Free food and beverage while working and if time permits you will be able to catch parts of the game.

Arrive 11:30 am - wear black pants (any type) and closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals)

Finish 3:30 pm ish

No experience required.

Please do not commit if you don't think you can make it. LLS is charged $50 for each no show out of their donation as there is a minimum number of volunteers required for the stand.

If this day doesn't work for you, there are many more baseball & softball games coming up.

This was by far the busiest game I have ever worked. We sold over 500 hotdogs which is at least 100 more than ever and not to mention all the nachos, chili cheese dogs and popcorn. This was a non-stop day and over $700 was raised for LLS at this event. A big shout out to volunteer Tami H for all she does to help the group and cause. You are a rockstar.

    Hi Sandy,
I'm sorry but I have another commitment that came up this Sunday. I won't be able to volunteer. I do hope to get out there during April.

    How is parking availability?

It's pay to park at UW but you can find free parking around the area. Mary Gates Way to the NE side of the field (about a 15 minute walk) and there is free parking off Pacific Avenue)
