Washington Wild’s Annual Dinner & Auction A Wild Night Out!

THANKS EVERYONE! As of 10/30/12 we have plenty of volunteers to help make this event awesome. If you've already RSVPed YES, I will be contacting you shortly with more info. If you'd like to help, I can put you on our wait list.

For nearly thirty years, the mission of the Washington Wild (formerly Washington Wilderness Coalition) has been to protect and restore wild lands and waters in Washington State through education, advocacy, and civic engagement.

The Annual Dinner and Auction is our largest fundraising event. This year we anticipate hosting 150 guests at the Mountaineers facility at Magnison Park on Lake Washington. The event will include live and silent auctions and a sit-down dinner. Volunteer help is essential for the success of this event.

Washington Wild will provide dinner, snacks, and beverages for volunteers during the event. There will be a separate volunteer room for eating and socializing.

Volunteers are welcome to participate in the silent and live auctions and the 50/50 raffle. Please let us know if you’d like to participate so that we can prepare a bid packet for you.

Thanks so much for all of your help last night! The rough estimate of donations for the entire event is, so far, greater than any of our other fundraising events -- which is HUGE and well-surpassed our expectations! Washington Wild couldn't have pulled the event off without your hard work and we are tremendously appreciative of your efforts.

We have volunteer needs year round, so if you'd like to work with us again visit or email me at christine[at]

It was fantastic meeting each of you and I hope that you enjoyed yourselves!

I got interested in this event. But, I couldn't understand what will we do completely. And, although this is my first volunteer in this group, can I go there?

Hi All -- If you are on the YES RSVP list right now (November 8 @10:30am, then I have assigned you a job(s) and am looking forward to meeting you on Saturday!

As all of our volunteer jobs are now taken, we cannot accommodate any additional people. For those of you who asked about carpooling, I circulated your requests to all ~30 volunteers who will be helping out and have received no responses. I looked into bus routes using Google and King County Trip Planner and the Mountaineers is a bus-accessible location. There is a bus stop almost directly in front of the Mountaineers building and the weather is supposed to be clear and sunny. I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have questions or if I can be of further assistance.

See you on Saturday at 5:30pm (or earlier!).

      Hi Christine,

I'm so sorry that I couldn't make it without a carpooling. Because the event ends at 9:30 pm, it'll be quite inconvenient for me to get back then.

Anyways, hope you'll have a wonderful night.

Hi Jie- Sorry we weren't able to make this work! Thank you for letting me know, though. I hope that we get to work together in the future.

I live really close to the event, and was hoping that someone could swing by and get me on their way. I would otherwise be taking the bus. The walk from the gate of Magnuson to the auction building is enough itself for me to get soaked if it's raining hard! Please!

    Hi everyone,
I'm Jie, and I'll be volunteering for this amazing event. Since I'm just new to the States and Seattle, it's easy for me to get lost for directions. My place is kind of far from the event's location, which makes it harder for me to take bus there on a Saturday night.

So I'm wondering if anyone could gimme a ride to and back from the events? I'll be extremely grateful!
