Why have you joined this group? What are you currently reading, hope to read, and your last read?

To continue enjoying the people I have already met as well as maybe meeting some new people. I enjoy getting out, socializing, and even discussing books. I'm one of those rare men that are chatty and like to share.

What type of restaurants or meeting place, in the Danbury area, would you like to go that are appropriate for a book club (esp. can hold 12 people together where everyone can hear one another)?

It's a tough call since there are many people with various ideas on how much they should spend on an evening discussing a book. If we would like to treat ourselves the upstairs of Sesame Seed is nice as well as maybe the Putnam House in Bethel. I'm not opposed to a room at Chucks Steak House and having either a salad or burger, there is a fair amount on the menu so one could make it costly or inexpensive.

What types of books do you like to read, genres? What are your favorite authors? What are some of your recent favorite reads? Are you open to new types of books?

The book I read in the past 6 months that I reread, because i liked it that much, was Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand (100 to 1 they make it into a movie!). That happened to be non-fiction but I very much like fiction as well. Probably historical fiction most but almost anything that grabs the soul and has layers of significance to it.

Would you be willing to host a small group, 8-12 people, at your place?

I have currently downsized as well as moving to a town that would not be conducive to everyone to get to, so sadly I think not.

What do you hope to get out of this club? Where did you hear about us? (, friend, facebook, other)

Enjoying the company of others, opening my eyes to other people's choices in good books, having some fun going out to various places and enjoying discussions as well as food.

Having Started this Book Club, I am first, glad to see it continue and with such terrific people. Secondly, I am glad I did not move too far away so I can join in on occasion.
