Hi, I love living in Raleigh, what's not to like!...spend time doing a variety of things, but its more fun with others. Really like events at NCMA, Summerfest, Artsplosure, local hikes/picnics, even hanging out at the flea market.
I left the Navy Nurse Corps and went to graduate school at UNC Chapel Hill in 1990. From there worked for private industry as an occupational health services manager then to public health epidemiology. What first attracted me to Raleigh was the pace, friendliness and ... definitely blue grass and BBQ.
I saw it on a friend's list of meetups.
Thats hard, I like....Greek, Italian, Indian, Thai, Middle Eastern, love to find hole-in-wall places when eating out.
I was stationed overseas in Japan and travelled to certain parts of Asia. Have been to Hawaii several times, Europe and hiked and skiied out west. Have been to several states out west, NE, SE. I have plans to canoe the Boundry Waters in MN this summer.
MA, SC, NC, RI, CA, CT, NJ, NY, Okinawa Japan.
Catherine does a great job organizing such interesting events.
Hi Sheila, Would you like to do Raleigh First Art Friday with me tomorrow? If so, let me know and we can arrange to meet somewhere. I tried to email you but it did not seem to work...RB
Hey Sheila. Welcome to the group. I suggest C GRACE in Glenwood South as a great jazz club in the Triangle to check out. It's akin to what you would find in lower Manhattan. If you happen to come by this Saturday (March 2), my Trio will be layin' down the jazz. Great cocktails too!!
I really enjoyed talking "shop" with you on the trail and look forward to future conversations and hiking with you!
