This sounds like an interesting and enriching Friday evening at a nice venue. It's a free concert, but donations are appreciated to support the program. Although the concert starts at 7:00 pm, you should meet us at the Maryland Hall entrance at 6:30 pm to find seats inside. It's open seating, so first come get the best seats. There is plenty of free parking available in the large lots next to the Hall.
For those who can make it, we'll first meet up at Fado's Pub at 5:00 pm for happy hour refreshments prior to walking over to the concert. It's just a two-block walk to the Maryland Hall.
From the concert program description:
The Megaron Chamber Choir from Slovenia will give a free concert at 7:00 pm at the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts. Organized in 2003, the Megaron Choir has performed concerts throughout Europe and participated in folk singing competitions in Canada and other parts of the world. It's noted for rich sounds and interpretations of music from different stylistic periods. The leader, Damijan Mocnik, is a well-known composer and conductor. Members of the choir are graduates of St. Stanislav’s Institute, a historic school of music in Slovenia.
The concert is open to the public and sponsored by the World Artists’ Experiences in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia and Maryland Hall. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Though the concert is free, donations are appreciated.
You can try to contact Jake at [masked] to find us, although I don't always hear my phone at events.
