Our group loves going to music events at the Maritime Museum in Eastport. It's a cool location right on Back Creek with its own small beach, a beautiful pier, an indoor museum, good restrooms, and always a welcome variety of food and drinks for purchase.
Although the concerts are technically free, a $10 donation is expected. But that's a fair price for having a relaxing evening of good music and a nice social vibe by the water. Beer, wine, and food are available for sale. No coolers allowed, but bring your folding chair or blanket.
The summer concert series on Thursday evenings is a good reason to get out of the house and have some fun. After the concert, people can visit Davis' Pub or the Boatyard Bar & Grill which are popular neighborhood destinations a few blocks away that we've enjoyed many times.
We'll plan to meet around 6:30 pm and the concert starts at 7:00 pm. Look for us having a good time or call Jake at[masked]-8435. I can't always answer my phone at events, but you can try.
