Fine dining, small groups, and interesting conversation. Or no conversation, if the food is that good.
In an effort to have low-hassle meet-up events and to help you understand how the events work, I've included a few basic rules:
Deposit & cancellation:
I am asking those who RSVP “Yes” to provide a $25 deposit up front to confirm attendance. I’ll return the $25 to you, in cash, at the event.
For those that need to cancel, I’ll refund the full $25 to you as long as you cancel by midnight the day before the event. If you cancel the day of the event or flake out and don’t show, the group will use the deposit to defray the cost of the meal.
This event does not have a wait list. If you would like to attend but there are no seats available, check-in at meet-up every so often to see if there is a cancellation.
Please be on time!
I am totally sympathetic to the fact that public transport and traffic are unreliable, but if you are late the rest of us won’t be seated or could lose our reservation. Most of the restaurants that we attend are small and need to be vigilant about tables (thus the Table Sheriff) and I’ve lost a tables in the past, so please make sure you leave enough time to join us.
Share the table:
Please think carefully about signing up for consecutive events. If you are fully committed to attending, that’s great – welcome and hooray! But if I see that you have a pattern of RSVPing and canceling, I’ll remove you from the group.
