Come join us to meet other developers who work with and/or are interested in Google technologies!
We welcome people of all backgrounds, including non-developers, to join us but kindly ask those who attend to refrain from discussions regarding recruiting, startup pitches, technical co-founders and other business-related issues until after the meeting has adjourned.
At July's meeting, Justin Munger will be speaking about developing for Android Wear, Google's newest wearable technology. Wearable devices are used very differently from phones and tablets, focusing on quick interactions rather than immersive experiences.
Justin will be discussing the new design paradigms of Suggest and Demand that foster quick interactions and what those mean to developers who are creating wearable experiences. He'll talk about the wearable UI concepts such as Cards, Stacks, and Pages and how to implement them for Android Wear. Justin will also discuss how to sync data between wearables and phones/tablets for more complex applications using Google Play Services.
